James Sklar became interested in eating organically after attending California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. In 2006, James opened Bloom in Hastings on Hudson NY, an innovative, eco-friendly and organic restaurant. Bloom received numerous accolades, including coming in second in the country for "green" design and favorable reviews from The New York Times, InTown Magazine and The Westchester Journal. Currently, James is a private chef and specializes in seasonal organic cuisine and gluten-free baking.
